Welcome to Year 4!
Welcome to Year Four!
This is an exciting year with children developing their confidence, deepening their learning and developing their faith and understanding of the world around them. We also have a lot of fun!

We will also start to interpret simple fractions, measure length, time, and area, recognise common shapes, and use data displays to read and interpret information. A big focus in the Multiplication Check which will take place in June. Children will focus on practicing their times tables using:

RE
Following the Religious Education Directory, we will explain key teachings of Jesus, recognise how Scripture guides our choices, and describe the significance of prayer, sacraments, and Church life. We will learn to make links between faith and daily living, show respect for others, and understand how Christians are called to love, serve, and follow Christ.
Other Subjects
In addition to the subjects listed above, we will explore our creativity through art, design and technology, and music, developing practical skills and confidence in expressing our ideas. We will build physical fitness and teamwork in PE, learn to care for ourselves and others through PSHE, and continue to develop our understanding of the structure and vocabulary of Latin.
